As most of us tech-loving people know, Asus has made Computex their event for showcasing their new products. Coming from the highly anticipated Zenphone 3 to the child of Wall-E and Eve, the Zenbo home robot, Asus has brought out a ton of new products for us to enjoy.
One of these products is the Designo Curve, a 34-inch curved monitor. It has a UWQHD display, which means it has an ultra-wide display with a 3,440 by 1,440 resolution. This measures out to a 21:9 aspect ratio, which is expectedly wider than the usual monitors.
The Designo Curve also features a 1800R curvature or a 1,800mm curve to provide a more immersive experience. Screen specifications aside, Asus’ curved monitor also has an 8-watt Harman Kardon stereo speakers along with Asus SonicMaster for the software side. You can be assured that you’ll have a great screen along with great sound.
A Qi wireless charging pad has been integrated on the base of this beautiful monitor for us to charge any Qi-compatible device. It wasn’t mentioned whether it offers fast wireless charging or not, but we are hoping that it does.
If the 34-inch curved monitor was a bit of an overkill for your viewing needs, a milder Designo monitor has been made just for you.
It offers a smaller 27-inch IPS screen with a higher 3,840 by 2,160 resolution. This option sacrifices the curved monitor in exchange for higher resolution.
For audio, a 3-watt Bang & Olufsen stereo speakers will take the spot which also gives clear audio for you to enjoy. Although this version lacks a Qi wireless charging pad as its base, it does offer a USB 3.1 Type-C port which supports everything that the new standard offers.
Pricing, availability, and other specifications haven’t been given yet, but we’re hoping to know them as soon as possible. What do you think about the new monitors Asus has brought out?
