Apple has always been the center of rumors and speculations in the tech world. Apple recently announced that they will be investing $200 million into Corning. But what does this mean and why are they doing it?

Corning is well known as the manufacturer of the glass screen on our smartphones. Corning Gorilla Glass is almost synonymous to a scratchless glass. A lot of customers look for this specification when choosing which smartphone to buy. Apple has placed a lot of money in this company and people are starting to speculate what reason they have for doing so.

Some say that because wireless charging doesn’t work through metal, Apple is planning on having a glass back for their iPhones. For this to happen, they’ll need glass that won’t be as easy to break as what we have now. Hopefully, the $200 million investment will help in making that happen. What do you think Apple is planning?
