Motorola is the first to start a new round design for their upcoming smartwatch, the Moto 360, which is now also rumored to have wireless charging. Having no kind of port on the Moto 360, wireless charging is the best guess as to how this new smartwatch will be charged.   Moto360-Macro-alt1-with-text   The Qi wireless charging standard is most likely the choice for the Moto 360 since Motorola is one of the big members of the Wireless Power Consortium. It is quite expected for them to follow this standard since they have already used it for their smartphone products. Having a curved charging pad that fits the Moto 360 perfectly, the way it does with our wrists, would be a great design to have for this smartwatch.

Moto 360 Specifications

Information regarding the Moto 360 isn’t much but it is said that they will offer different kinds of wristbands, which could be stainless steel and leather. It also seems that they are interchangeable, for you to be able to use whichever you like. Moto-360-1- It is also said that the Moto 360 will be compatible with any Android 4.3 devices that also have Bluetooth 4.0 technology. This smartwatch won’t be only exclusive to Motorola devices but to any Android device that fit those two requirements. A camera on the Moto 360 is said to not exist, simply because Motorola didn’t feel the need to have a camera. I believe this is a good choice by Motorola forgoing a camera on the smartwatch, less unneeded features give less complications. The Moto 360 is announced to arrive this summer of 2014, with no word about pricing. Having very limited quantities is an expected problem though because of its unique design and technology.
