The Xiaomi Mi 30W wireless charger was recently launched and competes against the OnePlus Warp Charge 30 wireless charger. The wireless charger is supposed to go alongside its Mi 10 smartphones which can get the most out of the 30W wireless charger. It’s able to bring your device from 0% to 100% is just a little over an hour.
The tilted design of the wireless charger has a slit in the middle for its cooling fan. Xiaomi claims to be able to keep your device and the wireless charger itself at a safe 38°C and below. Along with this, it also has the needed protection to keep everything safe such as foreign object detection, over-voltage protection, over-temperature protection, and static protection.
Although if your device doesn’t reach the extremely fast 30W wireless charging that this charger is capable of reaching, don’t fret. As long as your device is Qi-enabled, you’ll still be able to charge with a dialed down speed of 10W. Only a few phones such as the Xiaomi Mi 10 series and OnePlus 8 Pro can take full advantage of this speed. Other manufacturers should be able to catch up in a few months. For now, the average wireless charging speed ranges between 10W to 15W.
Xiaomi initially launched the Mi 30W wireless charger in India for Rs. 2,299 or approximately $30USD and is available from India’s own Mi store site. Although if you live elsewhere, you can check out Gearbest which is currently selling it at $39 which isn’t that bad.
